Story Martial Arts Club History

Story Martial Arts was founded in February of 2018 in South Morang at a small community centre. After just 2 weeks of operation the Thomastown branch at Thomastown Library was opened and Story Martial Arts North was born.

Adam saw a need in the community for a Martial Arts School that taught traditional martial arts whilst also acknowledging the influx of new and modern techniques.

For the majority of 2018 Master Adam ran the classes by himself out of both community centres slowly building his base of students.

In September that year Whittlesea council informed Adam that the South Morang location would no longer be available. This left half of our students without a club to train at! A few weeks later and a mad rush of building inspections, emails and phone calls Adam signed the lease for our Full Time venue at Epping.

The community really got behind the club and it grew rapidly throughout 2019. The competition team won their first State Team positions and we held our first Black Belt Grading (Adam's Dad Wayne).

We adapted to the climate in 2020 and offered Virtual Classes for the first time that were a hit with our families, allowing our students to stay active, keep a routine and continue their Martial Arts Journey from anywhere.
